"Education is the most valuable asset one can have, and it is something that no one will be able to take away from you. By investing in education, it means we are investing in the future of our children.’’ Arshad said in his speech during the event. “SEEDS also shows BPMB’s commitment in supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and we hope to produce environmentally-responsible Malaysia citizens through this programme.” he added.

The kick-off event involved Form 4 students and featured talks by speakers from the United Nations, Direct English and Zer0Hunger Malaysia. The respective speakers provided the students with information on the SDGs, the importance of the English Language and theadvantages of Urban Farming. The students also witnessed an urban farming and waste composting demonstration at the school’s herb garden prior to the talk. “We believe that SEEDS will provide a useful avenue in improving the socio-economic status of the students in the long term.” said Arshad.
